Neville has over 20 years experience in Aboriginal heritage assessment. He has developed and managed teams of consultants in several major environmental consulting companies while maintaining personal involvement in archaeological field assessment. Key specialities are in Aboriginal community consultation, strategic heritage management, Aboriginal stone artefact technology and the archaeological excavation of “open campsites” commonly encountered in greenfield developments.
Over the past two decades Neville has worked as a consultant on major mining, infrastructure, Defence and land development projects. He has presented expert evidence in the NSW Land and Environment Court on archaeological assessment issues on a number of occasions.
Neville has developed and led archaeological consulting teams at Australian Museum Business Services (AMBS) 1995-2002, ERM 2002-2007, AECOM 2007-2010 and EMGA Mitchell McLennan (EMM) 2010-2013.
